1. Number talk: Graph Talks — one of these four curves is its own derivative: which, and how could you know?
2. Random groups: measure tangent slopes on $y=2^x$, divide each by the function’s value there — then try $3^x$; what stays constant?
3. The hunt: slide the base until curve and derivative coincide — the number just past $2.718$ from Unit 1 walks back in
4. Consolidate: Derivatives of Exponential Functions — $e$ earns its throne
